Week 6 - Thing 13 del.icio.us, Thing 14 & 15

Things 13 - I can really see why del.icio.us is useful. I can access my favorites from any computer. Helpful to see what other folks are tagging, too.

Thing 14 - Technorati - It is amazing how much blogging is taking place and the efforts to make it searchable. Searching for Learning 2.0 resulted in 25,402 blog posts using tag and url search while resulting in 629 results using keyword. Advanced searching is really simple.

Thing 15 - Web 2.0 and Library 2.0..both are very interesting and it is amazing how we are tapping into something that is going to change the way we do things. Without having to purchase software you can share your thoughts, work on joint projects, etc., easily and quickly. We are at the beginning of a cultural change. I see this happening every day both at work and in my private life. Information is readily available wherever you are.

Week 4 - Thing 9 Merlin

Merlin has a lot to offer with statewide training and other news. The RSS feed wasn't working tonight but will try again. It should be fairly simple...similar to other RSS feeds that I have signed up for.

Week 3 - Thing 7 - Technology

Have you seen the new iPhone? Actually was able to play around with it yesterday and it is impressive.

It was really easy creating a trading card for the Betsy-Tacy book series...of which I am a major fan. Flickr mashup worked well.

Here we are with Week 3 & images...the Littlest Pirate Princess. Creating a magazine cover was easy.

Week Number 5...Thing 10, 11 & 12

I must say that the trusty first mate is really enjoying the beach! This was really easy to do.

Thing 11 - Library Thing is really cool and I can see using it in the library for book clubs, customer logs, etc. Here is my startup library!



Thing 12 - Well Rollyo has floated a new interface which is a little confusing. But muddled my way through and created a search for historical mysteries under the name of surfingpirate. Made an attempt to link http://rollyo.com/surfingpirate/readers_advisory/

Week 1 - Things 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Good place to stop for now...up to number 5 of the 23 things...nice refresher on blogging and just wish there was more time to explore the other blogs. Thing 2 - Enjoyed the 7.5 habits and the hardest one for me is creating my own learning toolbox. I tend to jump in and "collect" tools along the way. The easist is playing...no problem there and always curious.

Thing 5 Flickr - I use webshots.com for sharing photos with family and friends. Flickr is really similar and it makes it easy. Ella's sprinkler photo is from a website image sharing site.
